Here you can find information about Free and Open Source Software events taking place near you (or further away if you enjoy traveling!) — we hope to collect all FOSS events that are taking place across the globe and create a easily search-able directory for finding events, big and small.

If you’re arranging an event, please get in touch and we will do our bit to plug it! If you know of an event and we don’t, let us know too! Developer conferences, large and small, expo’s ala LWE, barcamps, LUG meetings.. no event too big or small, keep us in the loop and we’ll try keep the wider community in the loop too.

We’re had many requests for a few different features, so we would like to outline what we’re working on in this regard.

1.) Event mapping: This is a challenging feature to build, but it is something we’re looking into: the ability to find events by location and distance from you.

2.) User Group Calendar integration: Several users groups have requested the ability to send us an ical or rss feed, and have those events automatically posted here. Rest assured, we are working on this and it is likely to be the next feature we complete.

3.) RSS feeds and notifications: This is one many individuals request.  We would eventually like to tie this in to item 1, and devise a way for users to get an RSS feed of events local to them.
