PGCon

May 20, 2010
May 21, 2010

PGCon is an annual conference for users and developers of PostgreSQL, a leading relational database, which just happens to be open source. PGCon is the place to meet, discuss, build relationships, learn valuable insights, and generally chat about the work you are doing with PostgreSQL. If you want to learn why so many people are moving to PostgreSQL, PGCon will be the place to find out why. Whether you are a casual user or you’ve been working with PostgreSQL for years, PGCon will have something for you.

PGCon 2010 will be held on 20-21 May 2010 at University of Ottawa, with two days of Tutorials on 18-19 May 2010.

There will be related events (of a social nature, for the most part) on the day before and after the conference.

IDLELO is one event for FOSS practitioners, developers and advocates as well as governments to showcase results, share experiences and challenges, review progress on the continent in diverse domains and chart a way forward for an African future grounded in true ownership of technology. IDLELO is therefore a premier international forum for the presentation of research results in Free and Open Source Software(FOSS) in Africa.

From May 17-21, 2010, FOSSFA is holding the Fourth Conference for FOSS and the Digital Commons in Accra, Ghana. This event gathers the brightest minds in FOSS, including developers, distribution maintainers, business leaders, end users, system vendors, other community organizations and government official. It is the only conference designed to encourage sharing, collaboration and encourage solutions by bringing together a true cross-section of leaders to meet face-to-face to tackle and solve the most pressing issues facing FOSS on the African Continent today.
